Burn Notice is a really great show. Miami is the absolute best location for this show and the supporting cast are so good, which really makes the show worth watching. Each and every episode is written well, which make the show interesting and fun to watch. The show is not only an action/comedy serious but there is also a quirky air to it.

Other watchers of the show have called it lighthearted, fast paced, witty and innovative. While many are concerned with the bad language that the characters tend to speak a lot of, most people really do not care. They find the show to be funny and action packed. Even the Pilot was great, unlike many other shows where the Pilot is just simply a background story.

Burn Notice starts off with Michael Westen, a spy who has been disavowed by the United States government. Michael is dumped back in his hometown of Miami and left to struggle to get his life back into some sort of order. He is also forced back into the lives of the family that he ran half way around the world to get away from in the first place.

Michael ends up teaming together with his ex girlfriend, Fiona, who is an ex IRA operative and Sam, who is a washed out military intelligence agent who is currently being used by the feds to keep an eye on Michael. Michael is in search of the reason for the burn notice and who sent it. In the mean time, he uses his talents to help those in need, especially those who cannot get any help elsewhere.

The show was created and primarily written by Matt Nix along with credits to Alfredo Barrios Jr., Craig S. O’Neil and Jason Tracey. Burn Notice is being directed by Jeremiah S. Chechick and has been on air for one season. USA signed on for a second season that is said to have 13 episodes.

Jeffery Donovan plays Michael Westen, the main character and spy that has recently been burned. Fiona, the ex girlfriend and ex IRA operative is played by Gabrielle Anwar and Sam, the washed out ex military intelligent is played by the well known Bruce Campbell. Madeline Western, Michael’s meddling mother, played by Sharon Gless.

Alessandra Stanley from the NY Times says that Burn Notice is “cheerfully insouciant about the world’s trouble spots but takes its hero’s inner child to heart”. Linda Stasi from the New York post says that the show is “is slick and funny and a lotta fun.” Gillian Flynn from Entertainment Weekly states that Burn Notice is “A standard detective story that's brightened by unusual characters and snazzy dialogue.”

L.A. Weekly’s Robert Abele says this about Burn Notice “It’s got a low-hum basic-cable charm, fueled by personality, breezy cloak-and-dagger ingenuity and smart-ass dialogue rather than a flashy, budget-driven broadcast network complex.” USA Today’s Robert Bianco had this to say about Burn Notice “The goal is little more than light, disposable summer entertainment — and the show may even get there, if it can strip away some of its more annoying drags.”
